I am an applied economist specializing in developing economies, with a focus on human capital, finance, entrepreneurship, and behavioral economics. I study economic issues using economic theory and empirical methods, including randomized experiments and quasi-experimental designs. My ultimate goal is to address pressing social issues by uncovering new facts and exploring potential ways to enhance individual well-being through understanding how and why people behave the way they do. I have had the opportunity to work and live extensively in various regions across the globe, including sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
