Ooh, La, La, Paris with Abuela

In April, my mother came toLondon for a 2 week visit. We went to go to Paris for a weekend.

We took the Eurostar and were in the center of Paris in 3 hours. What an amazingly easy journey.

We were only there for 3 days, so we moved fast and efficiently.

We first went to the most famous Paris landmark...

Eiffel Tower

Then we went to Arc de Triumph

Which leads to the most famous shopping street in the world,
Les Champs Elysees

We also experienced Notre Dame .

The interior was as impressive as the exterior

The gargoyles were a favorite
we wanted to take a few home to keep our
masks company.

The Police Prefect

We also walked through the Latin Quarter

We did a quick visit to the Louvre
Where we quickly saw the highlights...

Venus de Milo
Both Morgan and my mom found the Mona Lisa a bit dissapointing. Its not very large and because of terrorist threats, its behind a thick pane of bullet proof glass. Nevertheless, we saw it.

Morgan took this picture

But this version is quite entertaining

We also managed to get to the Museum d'Orsay

and enjoyed, my favorites, the Impressionists
It was a good, trip. Both mom and Morgan were able to see so many of the famous sites that they had heard about.
