End of the Millenium, 1999
My sister and family came to spend the holidays with us, the last of the millenium. On the big night, we went down town to enjoy the children's fireworks (at 7pm). Shayla loved them and Spikey screamed because of the loud bangs. We got home early, put the girls and Richard to bed and then spent a quiet night playing board games and watching TV. Morgan got to stay up for the new millenium and was so disapointed that we didn't do something more exciting. He had always figured that while he was in bed, we had a wild time. Now he found out the truth, sharing a bottle of champagne at midnight was about as much exitement as we could handle. We fell asleep shortly afterwards. Sorry, I guess we are just old foggies.
