On March 5, 1998 Rhyana celebrated her first birthday. |

We had a small party with only the immediate family. Brother Morgan baked the caked and helped blow out the candles. |

Even though Rhyana didn't like the taste of the cake much she sure enjoyed playing with it. |
|
Her favorite gift was her new set of wheels. She loves riding her new bike and pushing it around. Big Brother loves pretending that his sister wins the Indy 500, luckily it has a seatbelt. |
 |
Now that Rhyana has begun her second year, she is no longer an infant and can walk and talk. She learned to walk at 11 months old and is now a very able and fast walker. She loves to go outside and quickly finds her shoes and sits by the door whenever she sees anyone getting ready to go out. No one can escape the house without her. Her vocabulary is ever increasing, she is nearly up to 20 words, including: mama, dada, brobro, shoe, cheese, water, pop, book, ball, more, hi, bye.
Spike is very sweet and affectionate blowing good-bye kisses anytime anyone leaves the room, yet she also has a mischievous side also. Last week she found a small bead. She made sure to make eye contact with me then popped it in her mouth and ran away giggling wanting me to chase her. When I caught her she quickly spit it out because she knew she shouldn't put it in her mouth. She is definitely going to be a handful.
