What we did on our summer vacation...
|

Once again we spent the summer in London. We had a really good summer. I was able to play mom, alsmost every day. Unfortunately for Morgan, his summer camp program was cancelled due to renovations, so he had to come with me to the office every day for 5 weeks. Contrary to expectations, Morgan was great in the office and we had a super time. In fact I missed him when he went to sports camp at the end of the summer.

Spikey attended daycare, but unfortunately the daycare closed for 3 weeks in August. So when Morgan started his sports camp, Spike started vacation. So I didn't have much vacation. For Spikey's time off, I had no pretenseof trying to get any work done, and we just spent time together doing her kind of activities. We went to petting zoos, playgrounds, playcenters, museums and even her first theatre: Thumbelina. Click here for Spike's Summer Adventures. |

We did our usual walking in the British countryside on the weekends. We came across many picturesque places.

We went to deer parks, walked in forests, along ponds,
and across fields, an all around good time |

Morgan, of course would not be swayed by the natural beauty and kept his head in the books. He learned to walk and read at the same time and even read an entire 200 page book during one of Sunday hikes. He really got into reading this sumer and read all of the Harry Potter books and got into Redwall series, about forest creatures where the good creatures always triumph over the bad. There re 12 books in the series and each is nearly 400 pages long. Morgan has already read five of the books and is still facinated.
