NHAMCS Data -- National Hospital Ambulatory Medical Care Survey DataNCHS descibes the National Hospital Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NHAMCS) as "collect[ing] data on the utilization and provision of ambulatory care services in hospital emergency and outpatient departments and in ambulatory surgery centers. Hospital-based ambulatory surgery centers were first added to this study in 2009, and freestanding ambulatory surgery centers were added in 2010." NCHS' main Ambulatory Health Care Data web page has a lot of information about its ambulatory health care surveys, the NAMCS and NHAMCS. In addition to the data and survey instruments, NCHS also offers information on the scope and sample design, data collection and processing, estimation procedures, reliability of estimates, and staff presentations.
